High School Abroad in New Zealand:  Overview

By attending a local high school and living with a host family, you’ll get to experience Kiwi life from the inside. Immerse yourself in the culture, develop a greater understanding of local customs and meet new friends from this beautiful country.

New Zealand is a safe and welcoming country with a variety of magnificent geographical regions.  The diverse scenery includes mountainous areas, beautiful beaches and coastlines, farmlands and numerous rivers and lakes.  Don’t forget the cities, Auckland which has been compared to Seattle minus the rain, Wellington, the capital, and Christchurch to name a few.

While living in New Zealand, learn about the Maori Culture.  You might even see a cultural performance featuring a haka (war dance) and a hangi (Maori feast).  Take a bike ride to the beach, walk leisurely through town or stop and relax at a local café.
