Pan Atlantic's Online Host Family Orientation*
In order to help meet the Department of State guidelines Pan Atlantic requires all host families to complete the online host family orientation. While the online orientation covers all that is required by the DoS we strongly encourage you to have an in person HFO with each of your families to talk about their specific placement and student.
* Please note that the HFO must be conducted AFTER the host family is approved but BEFORE the student arrives to their home to be compliant with the DoS requirements.

Host Family Orientation Log Sheet
This form should be signed when the online HF Orientation cannot be completed. Most situations involving a student Move will require this form to be signed.
House Rules and Expectations
This handout is a great resource for Host Families to go over with their student. It guides the discussion over house rules to set clear expectations for the student.
Host Family Orientation Resources
We have compiled several worksheets to assist an orientation. These help cover topics for host and students to go over together. This includes information covering student insurance, follow up visits, visa and travel information and a charitable contribution tax deduction form.
