Why Become a Pan Atlantic Foundation Area Representative?
If you are someone who is proud of your community and welcomes the opportunity to foster relationships with students and families around the globe this is the role for you. Now, more than ever, mutual understanding is imperative and as an Area Representative for Pan Atlantic Foundation, you can be a part of change. What does an Area Representative do?
As a Pan Atlantic Foundation Area Representative, you will identify, recruit and support local volunteer host families. You will foster relationships with your area schools and communities, and serve as a liaison and mentor to the international students under your care. What are the requirements to become an Area Representative?
What is the commitment and how am I compensated?
The commitment is what you make it. It can become your passion or you can dedicate a few hours a week. You receive compensation for each student for whom you secure a home and school, as well as supervision pay for overseeing the placement during the year. In addition PAF offers travel rewards. What is my training?
Pan Atlantic Foundation offers extensive training both on line and in person; and will facilitate each Area Representative's successful completion of the Department of State Certification program. In addition, Pan Atlantic Foundation offers ongoing education opportunities and annual meetings which will include workshops featuring hands on trainings with Pan Atlantic Foundation staff, Regional Directors, and guest speakers. Am I required to Host?
Although not required to host Pan Atlantic Foundation does ask our Area Representatives be open and able to take a student in their home if ever there is an emergency or a special circumstance.
